It’s not just the lambs. It’s never been just the lambs. Now it’s the whales, too. Silence instead pf whale song has been a key point in my novel manuscript since it began, more years ago than I like to count. But every once in a while I come across a tidbit (internal or external) that requires a tweak to the plot. A tidbit that has me say to myself, I’m glad this book is going to be published after I found this out.
Yesterday I read about the silence of the Pacific Blue Whales here on Substack. Not part of a fiction plot. It was news. Current news. Luke McMillan mentions Blue Whales in particular, but they may be the only species the research was following. Stay tuned - or get tuned - to his substack posts today.
Heads up: It’s not “just” about the whales. It’s also the ocean.
